Amnesiac forms
Amnesiac forms
and the shape of forgetting
things often surface
that you once found upsetting
forgetting like puddles
or perhaps piles
of memories falling
or stretching for miles
is your brain an enemy
or is it a friend
remember your birthdays
the fun, not the end
then forget your first steps
and remember the falls
things tend to blur
like late night phone calls
on the end of the line
falling asleep at the wheel
tap into nostalgia
find my achilies heel
the shape of forgetting
is a box full of letters
words i once read
now lonely as lepers
but the forms keep forming
despite the amnesia haze
the puddles produce reminders
of far off long gone days.

This was another time when we raided the dressing up box.
If i had friends over tomorrow i’d totally do it.
i might do it anyway.
actually
i’ve been doing this a lot recently.
i’ll post photos of my most official dressing up challenge yet.
For my uni project i’ve been using my mothers acting life as inspiration.
Working in the field of the Cindy Shermans, i’ve recycled my mums old props, costumes, wigs and makeup to make up (haha) three whole new characters.
Then, we have a really exiting exhibition next week.
for my piece I’m creating the dressing table of my mum, with all the bits and bobs, photo frames, clothes, makeup, good luck cards, wig stand etc
im super looking forward to putting it all together.
And the turn out is expected to be around 1,000 people!
STOKED.
my first proper exhibition, like a real body of work kind of one. cause i did one in the E17 Art trail too.
but this seems a bit more legit.
i will post some pictures of it.
If you are my friend and reading this- talk to me about coming. i’d really appreciate the support :) plus I’m pretty proud of the work and i’d like to share it with y’all if at all possible.
peace out homies

continuing in the theme of dressing up.
This one was taken a while back.
The best thing about this photo is that we all managed to fit into age 2-3 dressing up clothes which belong to my baby sister.
Then we stayed that way for ages.
I haven’t been out on an adventure in fancy dress in a while. should get on that
